I can hear the muffled agony

In the voice of that girl,

Who is has been brutally raped

And then left on the street to die.

I can feel the pain of the mother,

Weeping inconsolably, desperately,

For the daughter who is now gone.

Not just physically, but emotionally dead.

I can see the animalistic pleasure,

The wild, cruel, sadistic joy,

In the face of the monster,

The man who did this to her.

I can smell the blood,

The sweat and tears that girl shed,

As she tried to save herself

From dying the worst kind of death.

I cannot see any one speak.

The Futility of Religion

What is religion?

To some people it is comfort, their support in times of distress. To others, it is life. To most people, it is something forced into their mindset and integrated into their values before they could even speak. Baptizms, the Hindu ritual of cutting a 1 year olds hair, all these things contribute to the childs behavior and social skills when they grow up.

Nowadays there is big talk of Women’s equality, but has anyone ever contemplated the fact that religion is the cause for this? In Hinduism, women are men are not allowed to worship God together. In Christianity, nun’s vow to celibacy. The Quran preaches no man-women contact. How can you even attempt to have gender equality in theocratic states such as Iran or Pakistan where the basic religion that is practiced vigorously 5 times a day, is against gender equality
